What is "classic" country music?

Well, I suppose that question has as many answers as there are people.  Each one no doubt has their own ideas as to what's classic to them.  To me, classic country music is the music of the 60's and 70's, and maybe even a few from the early 80's thrown in occasionally.  The country music that was rich in fiddles and pedal steel guitars, as well as a genuine sincerity found in the lyrics, be they happy or sad.  Yes, believe it or not, some country music actually was about happy things in life...it's not all the cry in your beer type music that many seem to think is the only kind of country song.
